World Leaders was a global leadership conference that enabled promising young people from around the world to connect with one another, share ideas and participate in seminars and activities centered on global environmental leadership. World Leaders convened in 2010 and 2011, bringing together 65 students from Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Vietnam at the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to AP-level environmental science coursework, field work and excursions around the San Francisco Bay Area, students also developed environmental policy proposals that were presented to legislators and policy-makers in the state capital.
