Impact

Global Partnerships Impact

Partnerships between Global Seed and CC+S have touched over 5,000 students and adult allies in 20 countries!

While these programs vary in scope and origins of their student participants, they share two key components: the Y-PLAN leadership experience and the value and power of cultural exchange.

The Y-PLAN program has proved remarkably adaptable across culture and language. Supplemented by intensive ‘wraparound’ cultural programming supplies by Global Seed, the overall experience was remarkably impactful for our students.

UC Berkeley’s Y-PLAN program was such a powerful learning experience for me! I participated in 2013 and today I am a geologist and I currently work in humanitarian work because, in recent years, my country (Burkina Faso) has experienced a humanitarian crisis. So I am currently devoting myself to humanitarian work. I am still in contact with my host family. They live in Berkeley. It was a great experience for me and my other friends. When I returned to my country, my host family helped me to finance my geology studies until Bachelor graduation.
